Universal Theme Park on the Universal Studios side brings in the Macy's parade balloons for the holiday season. These are the actual balloons from the New York City parade. To say they are large is a major understatement! They are huge. It takes several hours to inflate them, and they are on display before the parade every day. The balloons are handled by some of the employees and some people picked at random from throughout the park. We were asked one day to help carry one of them, but we had somewhere else we needed to be by the time the parade started, so we had to turn down the offer. We felt quite honored to be asked, though. They make a very impressive parade.
